So in the end, the so called assault weapons ban that was implemented years before and that expired was nothing more than a political smokescreen because of the way the law was written since the ones who wrote it had no idea what an "assault weapon" was- they made it up so anything that had was "evil looking" in their minds had to be banned yet the very same weapon could be gotten legally with a few cosmetic changes.
