Yea, how dare you average American non-governmental employee wish to possess an AR-15 and 30 round magazine. Even if said weapon is described by the DHS as a "personal defense weapon" and that it is "good for close quarters".

in no way did i mock his argument as absurd, ridiculous, or humorous in a way that suggested it lacked any substance worth consideration. what i did say is that i hope he's really upset about it because the REPUBLICAN MAJORITY OF THE NEW YORK STATE SENATE had to vote for this measure for it to pass and then i made a comment about how i was glad it was bi-partisan.


if you're going to throw out fallacies, informal ones at that, make sure they fit.
