The guns are now being returned if you can produce a valid license.
But that's not the whole story. Like I said earlier, Alberta is a section of the country that doesn't always buy into government bullshit. There are a lot of people out west that can't see the logic or justice behind a gun license or that the gov has any business telling you what you can own. I'm with them. There's going to be people, very likely, that never had any form of license and have owned guns all their lives and their ancestors were the same. Some of those guns will have been inherited from people with no license.
Also, it's funny that they evacuate between 70k and 100k people from Calgary. but for some strange reason, they felt no need to break in and take guns in a city where crime is much higher. High river is 13k people.
Pretty f**k up logic there.
