Here's the first problem I have with the analysis. How did they conclude that it would take years to plot just because he had a spreadsheet? I could come up with a spreadsheet in 15 minutes.

Here's the second problem I have with the analysis. Why would he put names if he just wanted a high number of kills? What if you kill someone who is not on the list? Do you get the points? Also, if you have a list, doesn't it just make it harder?

Sounds to me like the cop drew his conclusion and tried to bend the evidence to fit.

it sounds to me like the officer is trying to say that violent video games are at fault here. and they arent. this dude was just plain nutso.

well he was nuts, to be sure, but i do think he wanted to be on top. the spreadsheet was a list of 500 multi-murder murderers. they believe he wanted to top the charts so he went to an elementary school where resistance would be negligible, if any. their commentary about video games... i think in the hands of a normal person video games to not create issues (similar to how guns don't). he was disturbed to begin with though, and they fed his fantasy though.

really the point of this is that he chose an elementary school because they didn't have guns on the premises, not the video game speculation. i do think that teachers should have a right to defend themselves and their students.
