Psst. I know. I used one daily for over 2 years. The mistake you're making is assuming that people dislike Apple stuff because they don't know any better. I dislike Apple stuff precisely because I do know better.
And in the case of the Air, you're down to even weaker hardware, a badly out of date display, and a comparatively bulky form factor. So, again. Total non-starter. It doesn't even begin to compare with that Dell.
And...I just can't imagine giving a damn about the color. Especially something really tacky looking like gold.

Well...if portability is no object, I've been extremely happy with the Asus G751. It's a LOT of grunt for the money. The cheapest one starts at about the same price as the MacBook pro...but you get a 17" IPS display, an i7, 16 gigs of ram, and a gaming grade GPU. But...it's heavy.
