Installed Lubuntu 13.10 and I like it a lot. Runs really well.
Running into a HUGE problem for the WACOM stylus and pretty much stuck now. The stylus works by default just fine but the calibration is a major pain in the ass. I remember in Ubuntu 12.04 it working fairly well and being able to calibrate without much problem but Lubuntu doesn't even have an actual working calibration tool. Installed xinput_calibrator and got it working by running it in the term window (as the GUI option just opened up a blank term window and did nothing) but nothing matches anything being said and after I do make changes, they aren't saving. Pretty worthless if I can't calibrate as the damn pen is near impossible to get to the bottom corners of the tablet. Which means it would be equally useless for our field techs as they won't have a keyboard and mouse like I do.
Otherwise, it runs freakin great. It runs a bit faster than Mint, though I am still going to try Mint xfce here too. But not until I can get the kinks worked out as I am sure I'll run into the same problems in Mint.
If this was just a laptop or something and had keyboard and mouse, it'd have been fully up and running shortly after the install.
