I dunno about the rest of LGs products, but my Optimus G is amazing. I'd put it up against a Samsung Galaxy.

I've got the LG Nexus 4. I love it, I really can't tell much of a difference between it and most S3's i've had a play around with (not used an S4 yet). I prefer the screen on my phone, but i think the camera on the S3 is better. Main benefit of the Nexus 4 though is the constant updates whenever a new one is released. Plus price to price, nexus 4 kills an S3.

Although tempting, I just don't see the necessity for an ssd at this point. I think it runs fast enough where the only notable difference would be boot time.

The case, yes, although ugly, was 79.99 and came with the 500w psu. That was mainly why I got it.

well, i notice considerable times booting up my eclipse ide and i switch between workspaces often enough i feel like it's a must have for me, let alone for opening up games. i hate loading screens. i'm looking to build sometime this year

I hear ya. To be honest, loading screens are pretty quick on this thing. Only hiccups I've noticed are downloads over the net. Local installs are a breeze. I was interested in getting an ssd to install the root drive and then put the /home drive on the hdd. I've heard from many linux folks that seems to work really well. Plus it would be nice so if I f-up the OS when I tinker, I can just wipe the ssd and keep /home on the other drive.
