The point I was making is that opposing geological time because of its association with Darwin is an ideological thing, even if its predicated by religion. The age of the earth is not a significant point in christianity. People have fixated on it because its a key tenet to darwinism.

Some geologist in the 19th century decides the world is 500 million years old...who really cares? But start telling everyone they are descended from animals, and OMGWTF LIGHT THE TORCHES GRAB THE PITCHFORKS!!!!

Its why everyone knows who Darwin is, and next to nobody knows who Lyell is.

the 6th day was a very busy day is what the problem still is. i see you are trying to say that the age of earth + evolution have been linked and therefore rejected entirely, but i am saying that even if the theory of evolution didn't exist, old earth and universe would still be rejected, as it was during the time before darwin's hairbrained nonsense theory of evolution by natural selection

i think the mission that will be the most important for the search for life will be the eventual probe to titan

europa looks promising but it's also completely irradiated by jupiter. the crust of ice might shield the ocean underneath but over 500 rems is quite a hurdle for life. likewise, titan's radiation is relatively low, it is the only other body in the solar system with a complex atomosphere, it's rich in organic compounds, it has lakes, albeit of methane, but there is nothing stating life could not form there. it's very promising.
