You didn't refute them, you disregarded them, blanketing them in "makes no sense".
Don't assume things that are so obviously contraindicated by every clue around you.
Please explain why the simple ergonomics of the thing are something to simply disregard repeatedly. Or why a TV set isn't inferior to a monitor for computing tasks. Or why the living room environment in general isn't distinct from a workspace? Or any other specific points that have been made?
I don't even like to use a laptop for any significant task without a flat, solid surface to set it on, much less a wireless mouse and keyboard.
