comet ison, discovered last year, will be visible and expected to be brighter than the full moon as its path is similar to the great comet of 1680 and it is suggested that the two are fragments of the same body. ison is believed to be miles in size

They are actually underselling this comet - At its worst case senario it will be the comet of the century if predictions pan out this will be considered the greatest comet in human history.

well that would hinder deep space objects but close stuff... naw. just would make an awesome sight to see, and hopefully a pretty picture
