Will premium channels be available without a cable subscription?

I'd wait to see about pricing before you declare "Win".
I like the idea, but if I were to figure up how much I pay per channel or per show, it is well below what I'm sure they will charge per channel or show under this scheme. Once I throw out all the chaff of cable TV, maybe it could get close, but I have trouble believing that to be the case considering how much it costs to buy an episode of a show on Amazon. An episode shown for free over the air from a major network.

I don't see how this works with the major networks.

i see how this could end up being nearly equal the price i currently pay
for instance - if the price is truly per channel - then i would love to sign up for say 10 channels only
but then id bet theyd tier it
like 5$ per channel for your first 10 channels
ONLY 3$ per channel if you select 15 channels
ONLY 2$ per channel if you select 20 channels... and so on
such that it wouldnt be any cost savings for me to limit myself to the only 10 channels i really check regularly (not sure if there are even 10 btw)

You know you can just torrent the entire run of the show for free anytime you like, right? Wouldn't be strictly legal, but neither is coming to an incomplete stop at a stop sign.
