"Climate change" is real - and it's GOOD!

Hard to say if climate change will have net positive or negative effects. Moot point as it's going to happen... I guess we'll find out in a century or so what the effects will really be.

Change is chance. It's "goodness" or "badness" depends upon the viewer.

I'm sure that the dinosaurs would view Chicxulub as bad. As a human, I think it was good.

That being said, yeah climate change is happening. The problem I've always had were people claiming that the climate was going to do XYZ, "sea levels are going to rise 5000 bajillion percent!1!!" and all this apocalyptic stuff. It was, and continues to be nonsense.

Hell, they recently discovered a layer of bacteria living in the atmosphere. What effect does that have? How many more unknowns are there?

We run some models and then declare that to be the gospel, and then things don't happen the way the models turn out.

Although it's quite obvious we should not be doing dumb things like pollute, and using natural resources unsustainably.

Doubt this can even begin to offset the coming ecological crashes in the oceans.

But whatever keeps the stock prices going up. Whats good for GM is good for the ecosystem.

(this "greening" thing was covered decades ago in the oil companies media releases. It was their reasoning for opposing air quality regs.)

most deserts are still expanding so i don't see how this one tiny thing happening makes it a net positive.

also, this doesn't make the land more fertile. it means plants are able to have more leaves, yes, but it doesn't change soil content and it doesn't significantly raise the amount of rain fall in the area. it's completely cosmetic, as far as the ecosystem is concerned.
