Reading this entire thread, my only thought was "where does Condi Rice come in?"
I was hoping for something more substantial than just a dedication at the end to be honest.

What if instead of killing the cancer cells we convert them back into healthy cells? Cancerous cells can corrupt healthy cells, but can also be converted to healthy cells when grouped in the proper environment. What if we create super-healthy cells whose sole purpose is to attach to Cancerous cells and convert them?

if chemo therapy stopped cell division any significant length of time you would literally just rot apart. what it does is inhibit growth, so fast-dividing cells (cancer) cannot spread. it doesn't stop mitosis.
