Posted: Thu May 07, 2015 1:37 pmRFID stuff is not new. it's for inventory management. longest distance they can be read is at 60 feet, but generally you need to be about a foot away from the sensor to read the information. this is where those aluminum hats actually come in handy: they will shield the radio waves from skimming information
i for one dream of the day that my home will be able to automatically catalog everything that comes in the door and goes out in the trash and RFID is how that will be accomplished
