Is Civilization A Bad Idea?

Pollution is so concentrated it is changing the climate and human society is causing a mass extinction on par with the asteroid strike that destroyed almost all life during the Cretaceous period.

How is that sustainable in any way?

Il Duce Non could fix it.

-20 year moratorium on fishing or dumping in international waters.
-1 person...1 child. anymore than that and you get taxed.
-give NASA the same budget as homeland security.
-outlaw golf.
-tax pig farmers...give tax credits to turkey farmers...ban feed lots.
-pant trees bitches.
-dramatically increase sales taxes on imported consumer goods.

Well one day we will be able to fly to other planets, or build space stations, etc... Unless we destroy ourselves first.

Now, I am a huge proponent of taking care of the planet and biodiversity. IM a vegetarian, for example. But at the same time I really do think that we can overcome any sort of ecological or biological limitations. Of course you can't completely divulge from the environment, but we can conquer it.
