Funding is well over a quarter of a million dollars. People from all over have contributed. Others have offered to give him rides, bus tokens and even cars. James Robertson's story has, through no action of his own, has went viral in the USA. Right now donations are at $237,705 with 8,913 contributors. I'll bet there are politicians that wish they could generate this kind of cash in two days from regular people. The highest donations were two people who donated $2k each. Four more donated $1k. Many with messages saying what an inspiration James is to them.

Nothing that anyone says can take that can do spirit from this guy. His perfect attendance at work in spite of this long trip each day, is a testament to his strength and character.

When you made this thread, attempting to draw some moral lesson about work ethic, you neglected to consider that this dude, an extremely dedicated employee, has been with his company for well over a decade and makes 21k. Come up with any excuse you want, but that's poor in America.
