I did not say that entire philosophical underpinnings of society were based on Hobbes.
I said:
"The thinking that is built on it's assumptions is massively suspect, the entire philosophical underpinnings of modern society..."
In other words, I think the thinking that is built upon Hobbes is suspect. And I think really the entire philosophical underpinning of modern society is suspect because Hobbes is far from the only person that came up with a lot of horse hockey to justify their classes privilege.
That is the kind of thinking modern society is built upon, and it's people are actually conditioned to conform to this thinking. They literally get upset when someone proposes something that doesn't fit their worldview, even when it is demonstrably incorrect.
