If Ken Burns did one of his 9-part history series about PCF, this incident, which would come to be known as "The Bauce Blunder" would have an entire episode devoted to it. For several hours, the forum believed that Mr. Shaman, and not John Galt, had won the award. Confusion and outrage ensued, and for years posters would question how such a thing could have happened.

I'm glad Mr. Shaman won. No one would describe me as a graceful person , but Mr. Shaman had all the intangibles this year. Sad to say I was beaten by a better man.
