I just realized that story was out of DFW. Those are some pretty ballsy kids. My neighbor keeps his latest range target on his front door and his house is covered in cameras. There is no way I'd sneak through his back yard at night.

I grew up on a cul de sac with about 10 other kids and we had some wild games of hide and seek at night using the back yards of all the homes on the cul de sac as a boundary.
Of course this was the 70s so no one ever said anything. Now kids can't even play outside.

Don't get the problem. Kids running away from "pretend" cops attract the attention of real cops? Well, if they were any good, they could get away from the real ones, too!
