I'll be in central Europe next month with a grab bag of antibiotics and a limp. Suggestions for a young guy with the health of an old guy? Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Innsbruck, Munich.

Hit me with some knowledge fools.

Define "health of an old guy" and what that limits. Are you going to have problems walking at all or just not doing things fast paced?

I am not in the best of health but I got by just fine 3 weeks ago in Munich and Prague. There's lots of walking, but plenty of places to sit and take in the scenery as well.

I was only in Munich for a couple days but there are a LOT of museums, parks, touristy stuff to do. The public transport in Germany is first rate - trains run every couple minutes and go virtually everywhere. I went to a couple history museums, the Alte pinothek(sp?) which is the old ass paintings.

I did a lot of walking in Prague, did very little public transport there but they do have a lot of public transport options. I didn't take a tour but I recommend finding a tour and doing it. There's some food tours (where you go to different places and eat/drink), there's tourist tours to see things like the Charles Bridge and the big castle (forget the name of it). Just go to Old Town Square and there's about 100 ppl standing around advertising for the various tours going on. Some you can just sit in the bus mostly and just chill as they give you the history and such of places as you go by. The food tours you'll want to sign up for ASAP - they only run a few people with them and typically fill up fast.

There was a theatre doing ballets right next to where I stayed in Prague, next to the Palladium. Swan Lake and something else, I forget.

It rained while I was in both cities so I spent a good bit of time in bars too hah. The Beer Museum Pub in Prague is a good place to grab a drink and chat up people if are in that area. The Chocolate Museum had some pretty nice stuff in it as well, though I never found the Museum part - just the store.

There's no shortage of things to see in Munich and Prague. Depends on what you want to do. I didn't get to hit up the English Garden in Munich but I hear its awesome. Maybe go see a Bayern Munich game if you are there and they are playing. I saw some ticket prices and they weren't too awful.

If you got any specific questions, feel free to ask. I spent 2 days in Munich (including a Sunday, which virtually everything but museums are closed) and 4 in Prague.

How long in each place and will you be in munich for oktoberfest? If not, you already f**k up. Yea, do some interesting tours. Food tours, segway tour, bike tour, photography tour, helicopter tour, etc. I find that there are always hot chicks on these quirky types of tours, a food tour is a free meal, and riding a segway is fun as hell. Otherwise just check tripadvisor bro, they have all the usual tourist stuff so unless you are looking for something niche that's usually the best guide.

Def see a bayern game if you can, or just a soccer game in general. Big part of the culture and you will enjoy yourself. English garden has some cool stuff but you should just hang out in the nudist part drinking beer. Depends what you are into but all those places have great history museums, art galleries and opera etc. The Natural History Museum in Vienna is a must see I think even if you don't think you are interested in that stuff, the rest of them pick and choose. All of the castles and buildings and shit blur together after a while so i would suggest picking and choosing a few you want and ignoring the rest.

Just remember it's europe bro. Drink a lot,never exert yourself for more than six hours a day, and talk to new people. Haven't been to Innsbruck but if you have trouble getting around any of the other cities then you should just file for disability when you get back. If you embarrass yourself or do something offensive then please remember to pretend you are a canadian.

The last time I spent any substantial time (outside of an airport) in those cities, I pretty much hit the usual highlights. All great cities to walk around and soak up the local vibe. I really liked the Kartner Strasse in Vienna for strolling and trolling the locals.

Fly into Munich if you can, nice airport.

Beer. Lots of beer.

You also have to be the ugly American at least once. Give the people what they want. Its tradition. Be really loud, put on a fanny pack, wear socks with sandals, buy street food and then try to pay with a big wad of greenbacks, and get pissy when they won't accept real money. Use words like "y'all" and "howdy". Everyone will love you.

But seriously, I've always wanted to schlep around the Czech republic in particular on a beer tour.
