And even though I am a very satisfied iphone owner... I suddenly wanted that phone. Not because of it's vanilla 90's Ford Taurus design... not because it's got a completely useless and pathetic touch transfer feature....
because that guy's wife gave him a naughty video to hold him over on the road. I was so proud of that couple, and the dynamics of their relationship in that moment, that I immediately associated that approval with their choice of cell phone.
It was the most subtle use of outright sexual implications possible, especially compared to european commercials... but it worked.

Maybe Preperation H should advertise their hemorrhoid cream with a hardcore pornographic anal scene, which not only uses sex to sell its product, but is also contextually relevant...

It shouldn't be used more in advertising because not every single one of us wants to see it. If you want to get your dick wet, you can buy porn. It's advertises itself - no additional marketing needed.
