i could get past the like 5th introductory quest or something like that (no joke) so i quit EVE
i don't think im an idiot and i play a lot of games. something was broken with it (i forget what it was) and it wasn't allowing me to progress. i ended up doing a quest twice and it still didn't let me, so i said f**k it and uninstalled

Looks cool but..

Why ps3? For given the ps3's specs, I wonder how MASSIVE' the combat is really going to be. Also given Unreal Engine 3.. hmm, if it can do upwards of 100 players in the same area even with instancing. I'll be very impressed.

Dust 514 isn't instanced per say, but only so many people can be in a battle at a time. Not sure how that is going to work out with everything they got planned in the long run.

I think the idea for the game is that there are many battles going on for planets/systems at the same time and you can hop in and help wherever you want.

I have to give it to the devs though, they have a weekly update to let people know which issues are being discussed and what they are trying to do to fix it.

And Dust 514 is an FPS, first and foremost. Not an MMO and not like Eve.
