The question should be, if your family members in general were your peers would you hang out with them, in which case my answer would be hell no. Maybe my mom's side, got a few cousins and an aunt who are pretty cool.

No... the Gorilla group has one dominant male so I would have driven Dad off long ago. And I'd more than likely count my mother among the mating females in my group. We Gorillas are an incestuous beasts.
