how can you even make the claim that no one listens to radiohead? they're internationally known artists who have been around for decades. some people have already been listening to them for 20 years.

pretty sure everyone knows creep or karma police.
that said, pop and rap aren't going to make classics. as galt said, it's not about how many people know them, it's about the longevity of their music. do you think the only bands that became classics from the 60s and 70s did so because they were popular? there were so many popular bands from that era that were "the next beatles" and after a decade had completely faded into obscurity. most of the rap i grew up listening to has already done that. i don't see how it's any different now.

Well that was because you said that nobody had heard of them. Clearly everybody has heard of a band that's sold 30 million albums. You missed the point.
