A server's utility isn't reflected on the receipt, and nor should their reward. I've always tipped based off the value of the service, regardless of the bill.

I've got lower back issues. Going back to that sort of environment would probably screw me up pretty bad. No longer a spring chicken. Confirmed ass and elbows worker these days.
Working in a fast paced kitchen is unlike anything else I've done though. If your into it, it could be pretty great.

I am a good tipper, no less than 30% for acceptable service. And if I'm drunk, usually alot more. On the flip side, if the waiter is rude or has a bad attitude, they get f**k all nothing. I can deal with basic incompetence, but you at least better have a smile on your face as you f**k up my order.
