We have an extensive file on the Canadian but cannot comment on us citizens.
Anywho, time square is awful. Full of Midwestern land beasts who take up half the sidewalk, and then promptly stop right in the middle to look up and stare at some flashing Chinese car ad. The only upside is there are some good restaurants in midtown. Times Square on NYE is pretty much the worst place to spend nye. I truly don't get it, the ball drop is the LAMEST nye celebration in any major world city and to even get into Times Square you have to show up at noon and go through a TSA like gauntlet of security. I'd rather go to the Harlem and drink a 40 on the stoop for New Years than go to Times Square.
