Anyone here know how to play Civilization IV?

in civ 5 combat was pretty much the only thing they improved. that and the graphics obviously.

civ 4 was so much grander in scale and you could win in so many different ways (culturally expand and swallow other cities anyone?)

(seriously the level of detail in this one is downright autistic, it has everything rise of mankind has (e.g the revolutions stuff and combat improvements which are pretty cool) makes every age (including the new batshit caveman age) last actually more than 10 seconds and thus drastically more content than Civ 5 has at present in any format. )

Also has the advantage over most games the forum can play of being able to switch between play by email mode and everyone playing at once. Also the game is so old now, pretty much anything can play it.

Think it works on mac. We just have to be careful to use the v26 version with the patch and it 'should' work.

I'm pursuing all their info now, there's certainly nothing that suggests having a multiplayer game with this won't work. Or one with Pc's and Mac's.

If I'm wrong, sad face as after a week or so of playing this I don't think I could go back to vanilla.
