For a serious entry: Mack's Boardwalk Pizza has long been an unsung gem of South Philadelphia:
The owner, Joey Mack, has been behind the counter every time I've visited and will loudly comment to you about whatever CNN story is playing on his 13 inch TV in the corner while you wait for your food.
Just yesterday, someone told me the place has closed its doors, and I refuse to believe it so I will be taking a drive past there in a bit to see for myself
(pics were found searching on Google but I've eaten the pizza many times).
