we actually are handling the virus okay (eg care for people who are sick). our healthcare system didn't break like italy's. what we're not handling well is the pandemic. this is because patchwork and lack of clear federal direction which changes all the time

the problem with the hockey games is really the crews and everything that goes into it. there's thousands of people involved all said and they need to be entirely sealed off from everyone else in order to conduct the games safely. i'm not sure it could happen, but there's a possibility it will work out fine. if they are sealed off then there isn't a threat to the rest of your population

It sounds awful. They should just cancel the season. This won't be a legit cup and it's borderline immoral what they're putting the teams and staff through. DAILY f**k NASAL SWABS? I've been poked, prodded, injected, ported, sliced and diced more than average and that covid test looks like something from my nightmares.

the seat covers are nice (at least in toronto, idk about edmonton), especially because it makes the arena more neutral. the pumped in crowd noise is kind of strange, but it does make it seem less like a practice
