Lawyers are needed, very much so.. But too many lawyers are bad for society, and right now we have way too many lawyers in the US..
I'm retired now so I watch TV during the day.. No lie 1 out of every 3 commercials are for lawyers and suing your fellow neighbor or company.. 1-800 bad drug.. If you were in an accident and even if it was your fault call us... And on and on..
Obviously not all lawyers are ambulance chasers, or whatever we want to call them.. But IMO it can't be good for court system or our society if we have people suing other people for an accident that the suer caused... Something seems a little screwy there.

the ABA has failed us all. there are WAY too many lawyers and WAY too many law schools.......fortunately some market correction is occurring as we speak. the dim employment prospects for recent graduates has started to discourage people from applying. i believe the number of people taking the LSAT (law school admissions test) was done 25% or so this last year.

Almost everyone I know who is attending or plans to attend law school is pig-headed liberal arts person. Every trucker or delivery driver I know is a meth head or coke addict.
I'll go with truckers as more valuable.
Seriously though, I can't stand most law students.
