I thought Valhalla Rising was way boring and I tend to enjoy the slow paced, methodical and slightly intellectual films. Nice looking film with a geniune Norse feel, but just not a film I could get myself into.

Sin Nombre, a Mexican film about a kid in the Mara Salvatrucha (MS13) gang and a girl he meets from Honduras who is trying to get to the US.
Was free to air and I missed the start but was glued to the screen for the whole thing. 9/10

I hope to see that tomorrow. That and cloud atlas are the only things that interest me right now.

Argo was great, but I was a little peeved at some of the historical inaccuracies, which undervalued the actions of New Zealand, British and Canadian diplomats. I mean these guys put their lives on the line, but the movie makes it seem like it was the CIA who devised the plot to get the Americans out, when that simply is not the case.
Affleck got interviewed about it, and he more or less said he did this to make the drama more compelling. I can see that it would be more exciting, but it's too bad the international nature of the rescue couldn't be emphasized. As a Canadian, what Ambassador Taylor did was one of the most courageous and inspiring acts this country has produced. But oh well. Still a good flick.
