What's wrong with caring about characters on a TV show you watch? Honestly I am not referring to letting it bug the shit out of your all week or something, but when the Starks got shit on I was like "damn, that sucks. Most unfortunate family ever" because they are characters I enjoyed watching and cared about in terms of the show. The entire point of a quality show or movie is to make you give a shit about the people on the screen. What good would anything be if we could have no emotional attachment whatsoever? There certainly are crazy levels of attachment, but there are normal levels too.

I already pointed this out to you. its very human to become attached to things. I like my dog more than I like you I would save his life before I saved yours. If you died tomorrow I would cry more for my last dog than you. And I actually communicate with you. Now you're saying its insane that I don't get red in the face angry over an anonymous death thousands of miles away?

I like Game of Thrones, and there is nothing wrong with basic empathy and relating to characters. But there is definitely something wrong with a culture that makes this big of a stink over what happens to characters in a show about titties, dragons and midgets. Go read the tweets... I'm not talking about people who are like "Whoa that sucks" and move on. That isn't what is going on here. People are raving, dude. Like lunatic foaming at the mouth raving.

Are you even attempting to have a principled position here? Because you just admitted, indirectly, that its okay for me to care more for a dog than for a person while arguing about people not taking real things serious enough. Also way to not address anything else I posted.
