I think James Bond speaks more to previous generations like the boomers and Gen-Xers. Bond was written during the Cold War as an Alpha male superhero who can seemingly do anything- he was the archetype for what every man aspired to at the time. But with the advent of the internet, easier international travel and hipsters, Bond's appeal has wavered somewhat to the younger generations.
