VP of third-party administration and program management company in New Orleans. We are in charge of disbursing something like $6.x billion of disaster mitigation and recovery money from Katrina. We also handle all the claims for self-insured cities and such. My job is to review processes in-house, travel to get new business, etc. Bascially, anything that needs to be done. Right now, pretty much all our resources are going to NY and NJ to help the recovery effort. Signing a contract tomorrow with one of the larger cities.

When you rail against "the man", that's me.

I'm an engineer working for a company called ASML, which is now the largest supplier to the semiconductor industry.

In simple terms, what we make is the machines that produce microchips. So Samsung/Intel/Sony/everyone else will buy our equipment, and use it to make their products.

Gives me plenty of opportunities to travel, which I love. Earlier this year I was in Taiwan to work with TSMC, last month I was in Portland to work with Intel, and later this month I'll be in Korea to work with Samsung.
