I wondered which sports actually required the most physical exertion. Yeah, you travel more distance in soccer, but anyone that's watched the World Cup recently realizes that most of these guys jog or saunter ~80% of the time. Contrast that with football (American) where they're pretty much sprinting if they're moving, but remain stationary for lots more time. Or, basketball, where they are constantly running/sprinting, but over shorter distances. So, what sport actually requires the most exertion?
