Meh. Never watch anything on that silly channel anyways. Tossing it on the Walmart/Chick fil a pile and boycotting it forever seems the best course to take.

I'm just pointing out that social norms of the past aren't necessarily applicable to today. I don't know about spouse abuse in particular, but the rest of the nasty mentioned is there in black and white for all to see.
It just didn't used to be considered so nasty to beat your slaves nearly to death, for example. According to the bible, as long as they were able to get up after a couple of days, you're golden. Brave new world we're living in. Maybe we ought to consider some of the other antiquated stuff in that book a little more carefully. Better for everyone involved.
