That ending was f**k brutal. I thought for sure the USA had that game. I was watching it with people who never watched soccer before and they go into it. We went nuts on Dempsey's goal. f**k hell, 1 play away from winning.

USA dominated that game, imo. One goal on a f**k mis-play and then not holding the last play and that causes the tie. They deserved those 3 points, man. Bradley played much better and Dempsey has just been great. Can't believe Bradley missed that one goal without the goalie, there, though.

Thought the mistake happened when we had the ball in the corner and our guy (I forgot whom) didn't kick it off the Portugal play out for either a corner or throw-in. He waited too long and they hit it off him and that's when we lost the 30 seconds we needed to kill. Unreal how that game ended.

I know a tie was good, but you come that close and it felt like a loss.

Anyway, best case for USA if Portugal beating Ghana. Doubtful Portugal makes up the goals to overtake the US as I don't see the Germans pouring it on if they are ahead. Unfortunately, the game will be at the same time so unless Portugal goes up big, both the US and Germany have to play to win. If their game was earlier, the two could play for a tie.

Yeah draw is automatic advancement for us and Germany both regardless of other game.

So that goes back to my original point.. Why play hard? Just play to a 0-0 tie..
