I would never punch someone for insulting me, but then again, I try to behave like an adult, not a petulant child.

I have and would punch someone for insulting my wife though. Some things just can't be allowed to slide, depending on the severity. Once we were at a mall and some guy got right into my wives face, totally unprovoked, to the point where she had to keep on backing away. I was calm at first, then he called her a c**t. So I kicked him in the knee and then kicked him in the face. It was perhaps the only "manly" thing I've ever done lol.

I propose we turn this into a testosterone, story-time thread, where we greatly embellish our manly exploits. More productive than meta-threatening one another.

i got a dude detained by the police two nights ago for f**k up my parents and my neighbors christmas decorations. when the cop brought the dude back (he lives around the corner, what an idiot) to apologize and bring back the random shit he stole half the block was there to chastise him. the best part is that he began to cry. straight up began sobbing and shaking like a child. not as manly as what my dad wanted to do (get in the car and look for him like some wild west posse) but i think the level of emasculation he suffered elevates the manliness of my story.

last time i actually tried to fight someone was freshman year of college in the dorms.

this kid had a nasty habit of just wandering into peoples rooms without knocking (and most people don't lock their doors when they aren't going to class because they're in and out of them so many times. so i was standing the by the door in one of my friends rooms and one of my other friends came in and we were just chatting and screwing around. this kid with the bad habit swung open the door, hit me and my friend, and then lurched through the door forcing it open even more. the force of him doing that knocked both of us over and i smashed my head off the wall so hard i was seeing pink. in some sort of primal rage i started screaming like a barbarian and i jumped up to attack him. the second he saw that he knocked us over he ran out of the room and down the hall. i got up, screaming, and lunged out the door to chase him down (he was only like 10 feet out the door at this point). everyone in the hall had their heads peeking out their doors wondering what the commotion was. because i was screaming "i'm going to kill him. i'm going to choke the life out of him" while i was running my friend who was in the room with me ran and tackled me before i could make it to that kid (because i was really going to choke him).

so yeah, i don't rage out much. at least physically. i've verbally raged a few times since then but that was the last time i tried to fight someone. which is good because my physical anger is really primal and irrational so nothing good will ever come of it.

Christ, at this point I'm more exhausted than energized so I think I'll stop here. trying to have an honest conversation about anti-social behavior on the internet is like trying to catch a mongoose on meth. I think I'll work on something else for now.
