In the last 2 weeks I've heard so called experts describe Griffins as the 'best player in football'..The best QB in the NFL..And he will 'transform' the QB position for the next 10 years..
These F'ing morons on these football shows will say anything to try and hype a game and boost the ratings.. Their BS sounds so similar to the God-Like worship they heaped on Vick 2 years ago, and Tebow last year it's sickening.. Of course this year Vick was benched and Tebow couldn't get playing time with the worst offense in football.
I actually heard someone say Griffins was better than Rodgers? WTF????

Vick really isn't that great. He was good for a few years, then became gimmicky after. Eagles would be much better off without him.

When Vick came back he had 7-8 good games.. That hardly makes him an 'excellent' QB.. He's average, always has been, and still is..
So far what I've seen of Griffin he is also average. IMO if I had to pick between him and Wilson I'd pick Wilson.. From what I've seen so far this year Wilson is a more accurate passer than Griffin.. And IMO accuracy at the QB position is the 1st or at least the 2nd most important skill.. Reading defenses is right up there too.
But that said if both of them continue to run option plays neither will be around in 3 years.. Hell, in 3 years and 6 concussions later neither will know their name.

Mr Bill - what griffin did this year is hardly average
factor in that he is a rookie and his year was excellent, he is in the running for rookie of the year - an award not bestowed upon average players
that said, who cares if he gets hurt in a few years? in the nfl you need to win now, and plans for future wins several seasons down the road dont matter
griffin, playing and utilizing all his abilities (incl the run) is the best strategy
even if he doesnt get hurt, eventually they will try to do what they did to mcnabb and vick and morph them into a pure pocket passer
thats when mediocrity sets in
