It's pretty much old Coca Cola sludge in a pie crust.

We would have pumpkin pie and pecan pie every thanksgiving. As a kid I thought pumpkin pie was one of the most disgusting things that I had ever tasted. I could only eat it with a mountain of whipped cream on top. I now enjoy pumpkin pie, but pecan pie is just so much more delicious.

Taste is clearly subjective, everyone's pallet is different. There is no right or wrong here. It would be interesting to know what a self-described pie aficionado considers to be the best pies.

Apple is the best pie. Then pumpkin. Then strawberry rhubarb, key lime, berry, and cherry.

If we're excluding savory pies that is...

Key lime pie is good, but, it seems closer to a cheesecake than a traditional pie to me. I believe that apple pie is one of the more overrated, pedestrian elements of American culture.

Maybe. On the other hand, I find people who eat such things on a regular basis to be disgusting gluttonous slobs. So I'll take the loser label.
