They can. Depends what interviewer he gets but he could easily get dinged at the first stage and have to appeal. They'll overlook a lot of transgressions but lying on applications is a very big no no. Amending in anticipation of applying to the bar doesn't mean shit. It's the equivalent of confessing just before the sentencing phase lol

idk man it's not my problem but he seems pretty confident. my only thing was the law school clearly didn't google or run any sort of check on him before admission. he just started biglaw too so idk if they know or care.

Weird. We would never take a felon. When I told hr I had a record all she asked was if it was a felony and if it happened in the last 5 years. I said no to both and she was like "alright you're cool bro".
