Awfully quiet in here today....

Great game last night, however I thought the Eagles had that totally won about mid way through the fourth quarter until Dak found his game. He possibly had his worst and best game all in the same game, like a NBA player not having his shot all night until the last stretch. I give the Eagles defense major cred for knocking Dak off his game, but the bye week (and trying to force it to Dez all night) didn't seem to help him much. Cowboys defense is one of the big surprises because they constantly came up big when they needed it and have been playing way beyond expectations this season.

One thing I have to mention is the refs last night, god they were awful and inconsistent. Missed some obvious calls, made some terrible calls, and, generally, over-officiated the entire game for both teams. They really hurt both teams with questionable calls multiple times and I just got tired of seeing them putting the brakes on the games momentum throughout the whole game last night.

Also, I'm still amazed Wentz didn't fumble the ball when Scandrick nailed him from behind. I have no idea how he kept hold of the ball, and it looked like a possible game saving non-play at the time.

This was a game with so much discussion about rookies, but the guy who really showed his inexperience IMO was Doug Pederson. We got a lead that we should have been able to hold and when Dallas flipped the switch and started gunning for a comeback, Pederson reacted in all the wrong ways. He punted at the end of the 4th quarter when we could have kicked a 54-yarder for the win. Sturgis had previously nailed two 56 yarders in a row that weren't even close calls.

But that said, all due credit to the Cowboys. They hung in when we were well up and rallied for the win. Can't wait for the Week 17 rematch.

I don't know why people want the college system so bad. Tying is a mutually shameful experience for both teams involved, and when it happens, it is deserved. They make it so easy to not tie. If you do it anyway, the result is appropriate.
