exactly. church must be controlled, it can't have it's own orders and its own justice. the fall of cersei over these next two seasons will be beautiful to behold on the screen i think.
they are rapidly approaching the end of the souce material. since AFFfC and ADwD are at the same time, I watch the Bran story and i'm thinking "jesus we're almost done with ADwD"
although to be fair looking at the timeline, the end of bran's arc with the current source material is about 5 months away
while the end of the source material is currently 8 months in the future of what the current date is in Westeros (almost 2 years have passed since the beginning of the books at this point)

thought i wonder what a king renly would have done. i feel like stannis would have killed him anyways, or someone would have. i liked renly but he didn't seem cunning enough to deal with kings landing.
