Been avoiding this thread cuz I haven't seen the movie but saw it Tues night and its basically EP4. I thought it was dumb that JJ pretty much took EP4 and then only changed some of the dynamics by a small margin.
Still enjoyed. Would watch again.

Also was kind of upset at all the not-so-subtle hints at Rey's parentage. I think it was done rather poorly.

Shit story but otherwise a very good movie. Too many last gen boomers getting airtime but all the new characters are pretty great. Definitely a try hard diversity fest but it didn't really throw off the movie so who cares. Still not gonna let the black bro hit that though, awkward ass hug when they should have kissed.
