IDK exactly as I don't need to budget a whole lot anymore as I have all the disposable income I need (withing limits).
but approx (after taxes)
15% house
2% utilities
25% retirement accounts/savings.
5% cell phones/cable/internet/garbage
10% kids education/kids (dropped significantly after my daughter graduated, will go to zero in may when my older son graduates, youngest son is making money while going to school).
rest spend on food, car insurance and whatever the hell I want to buy (see gun collection, lol)
House will be paid in full in 6.5years, zero other debt as I just refinanced my house (2.5% whohoo) to pay off my office loan, no other business debt. Haven't had a car loan in the last 10 years as I just pay cash for vehicles now.
No doubt I could save more if I cut back on personal expenses, but f**k it I'm enjoying life right now.

Rent - 33%
Student Loan - 7%
Food - 10%
Phone Bill - 4%
Gas - 10%
Gym - 1.25%
Everything else - 36%
I'm trying to save the 36% but it proves difficult when other things arise out of nowhere. I also need to be more disciplined with my money.

How do you...how do you live on $2500 a month with a family of five? My god...are things really that much cheaper in Montana?
