I lived in Greenpoint for 3 years, left about 5 years ago. It was pretty cheap then, not just rent but food and drinks in bars & restaurants especially the Polish & Dominican places. Could see Empire State & Chrysler buildings from my bedroom window & only 3/4 stops to the East Village.

Nah but I always heard that shit at bars and stuff and it was annoying. I only left manhattan 3 times in 3 months, and 2 were on accident and I came immediately back. Brooklyn should be it's own f**k city and Queens is long island. Manhattan is the the city and everything else is a satellite.
I don't think I would live in NYC after I'm 30ish. QOL just isnt there unless you are young and making good money.
