So, I take it y'all don't have a problem with Lindy Chamberlain being convicted of killing her baby based on shit evidence and the fact that she didn't act like a blubbering idiot in the public eye?
Some of us just keep our emotions to ourselves. It prevents others from discovering our weaknesses and abusing them. I can see things and feel sadness and I definitely care more about the folks around me than most folks I know and fight hard to protect them. Yet, I still don't cry because it doesn't do much good and can often make a situation worse.
If I hadn't learned to cover my emotions and push on through when I was very young, my dad would have swooped in on me like a buzzard on fresh kill and would have used me to wreak havoc on my parents. So, y'all can think I'm heartless if ya want, but at least I survived. People can appear very rough and tough on the outside, but it's often a wall put up to protect something rather tender and gentle.
