New prediction for Texas.
They lose vs Oklahoma, and fail to even make a bowl game. Texas alumni call for Mack Brown's head, and he's fired before a single BCS bowl game is played. Texas loosens the purse strings and buys Saban from Alabama around April or May. They will have to pay Brown a pretty penny to buy his contract, and pay even more to Alabama to buy out Saban's contract. Then, they'll hire Saban at a record $7+ million/year.
Additionally, they will give Saban pretty much free reign over the entire football program for at least 5 years, to do whatever it takes to rebuild the program.
For most of the first half of the 2000's, all you heard about was Texas's recruiting. They always had the first or second best recruiting class. I haven't heard a peep about their recruiting since 2008.
