Framerate is a pretty big deal, Wiz. It alters the entire film in a huge way. Some people seem OK with it, others like myself think it makes everything look like a mexican soap opera. Like the whole thing was filmed with a camcorder.

Its not at all subtle.

So did you watch Hobbit at 48fps?

Nope. Thinking seriously about going again, just to try out the 3D. I think the high frame rate could really improve 3D.

There's a setting on most TVs now that adds extra frames and gives things that same uncanny look. People watch it and think its part of HD, but it isn't. Its post processing fakery.

i was disappointed in the hobbit. it was far too cute. the indiana jones cart ride of doom type of scenes really annoyed me. the best part of the movie was gollum

the azog hunting them was annoying thing to add. it just added time to an already mostly boring movie

Yeah, I mean- a wizard on a sleigh pulled by rabbits? Thats like Looney Tunes.

And after the dwarves get captured (twice, I might add) both the trolls and the goblin king give lengthy speeches instead of just killing them already. They are like James Bond villains.

Too much CGI, too many jokes and messing around honestly, I really felt this was a kids movie instead of a LOTR type of thing. I was disappointed.
