I was supposed to have a holodeck by now. To say nothing of a flying car and a robot butler.They tell me the singularity is going to make me immortal.

Not holding my breath.

In ten years people are still going to be playing around with PS4 and Xbox One. Maybe kinect 3 or whatever will stick to your head like a brain slug and transmit things to your brain.

now that we know microsoft is a collaborator on the spy on every project, what do you think about buying a $500 piece of equipment that allows the nsa to watch you at your own house

Pretty much what was expected. Its the same price I'm expecting for the PS4. MS had a pretty great conference though. MGS was most graphically impressive...Ryse looked good too...but it seemed like constant quick-time stuff. Apparently, sensing that 90% of gamers <puke@kinect> they opted to ditch the motion control nonsense.

A complaint I'm seeing so far is quite a few of the games seem more like a movie than a game and there's limited player interaction. Its like playing Dragon's Lair.

Also looks like both PS4 and XBOne are going to support used games. Rentals are still out on the XBOne - haven't seen anything about rentals on the PS4 yet.

Ya, they support used games if you bought them (once and only once) from someone on your friends list (for 30 days) or at a MS approved retailer. And then you aren't allowed to sell it.

Just having the EA Sports conference running on my other monitor is making me stupider.

Yeah, I'm thinking about just dropping out of the console market entirely as a consumer. My PS3 was pretty much a fancy blu-ray player. My XBOX was a netflix player. Now I have an entertainment PC hooked up that serves both roles and can actually do a whole lot more, for about the same price tag.

I actually prefer using a computer for most online games and nearly all the offline games I used to love on the console are dead and gone. I may just get some controllers for the media PC to get my old console game fix and call it a day.

The only reason I let a Kinnect in my house is that it turns off with the console. This new concept is that the XBOX is always on, which makes the Kinnect way too creepy to be in my house.

The PS4 may be interesting, but seeing as how I haven't even been able to fill a shelf with good PS3 games... The investment seems to be disadvantageous.
